Vice Chairman of the Board and Director
Bayanihan Bank's Vice Chairman of the Board and Director Ronaldo "Butch" Acop has been with the bank since its early years as the Rural Bank of Atimonan. Since then, he has seen the bank transform and overcome many hurdles, eventually overshooting its financial targets to become a benchmark in growth and expansion among rural banks in the country.
Drawing on his extensive experience as a Business Development Head and entrepreneur, he takes immense pride in Bayanihan Bank's trajectory in serving the unbanked Filipino. He posits that the bank's competitive advantage lies in its unwavering commitment to rural economic development—a mission realized through a strategic portfolio of agricultural, microfinance, and SME loans. As he explains: "It's not just about the numbers or the profit, because we can just open branches and be profitable and not give back." This philosophy of corporate responsibility has empowered hundreds of Filipinos to improve their livelihoods, fostering a culture of mutual growth between the bank and the communities it serves.
