Jose Araullo is one of the pillars of the accounting profession in the Philippines. Honored as Most Outstanding Certified Public Accountant back in 1992, in 2025 he was inducted into the Accountancy Hall of Fame of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

A pioneer in his field, he co-founded Punongbayan & Araullo in 1988 which began as a small scale organization aimed to offer high-quality financial services. The firm has now grown and has become a member of Grant Thornton International, catering to both local and international clients. His career spans decades of holding top management positions from Senior Vice President to COO and CEO positions across the biggest banks and accounting firms in the country.

Today, his commitment to excellence and ethical leadership continues as the BOD Advisor of Bayanihan Bank. His vision for the bank is clear: that Bayanihan Bank will become the biggest rural bank in the country.
